In the album YCDTOSA4, the track "Let's Move To Cleveland" has the intro of the Steely Dan song "Pretzel Logic" as the solo background.

The Pretzel Logic chords are D-C (or D-Am7) over an A bass.

The Let's Move chords are also D-C, but over a C bass, putting it in Lydian rather than Steely Dan's Dorian.

In any case, I think the similarity is coincidental.

Steely Dan's recording of Pretzel Logic was played over the PA while the band was tuning up before the 74/09/16 Hamburg concert.
